Survey for Policing

The Government of Alberta will be undertaking an engagement process for the Police Act. This process will build on what we learned during the 2018-2019 Police Act Review and intends to determine critical areas of the Police Act and Police Service Regulations and the Alberta Provincial Policing Standards that require amendment and to assess strategies for implementing change in policing.

Please accept this personal invitation for you or representatives from your organization to complete a survey focused on strategies for improving public trust in police. This survey will be open from September 10 to October 9, 2020.

The results of this survey will be used to inform the discussion guide for an online meeting to discuss increasing Public Trust in Police, to be held on October 28 from 09:00 to 12:00 (please mark this meeting in your calendar). Further information on joining this meeting and meeting materials will circulated closer to the meeting date. If you would like another representative(s) from your organization to attend the meeting in October, please let us know so we can update our contact list.
