Horse Tack Identification

Tack identification serves several purposes, the two most prominent being a deterrent for theft and the second for returning stolen property.

It has commonly been reported that when the properly marked tack is stolen, and the thieves realise that it is identified, it is often left behind, with only unmarked items being removed. Use easily identifiable markings as described in the accompanying brochure so that any police force can determine ownership of saddles and any other tack. Any leather products can be marked with a set of stamps obtained from most automotive stores. The most recommended identification is your driver's licence number preceded by the letters of the province you live in.
